Resources available through The Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics Web site will include reports and journals prepared by speakers from major symposia, syllabi for courses and course modules on ethics, white papers on individual perspectives and research, transcription from lectures and books that result from programs and research originating at the Institute by resident and visiting scholars. The Institute’s website will be central in the documentation and dissemination of written products, video segments and podcasts. It will also be kept active with notices of visiting professorships, grants, program offerings and events.
The Wood Library at The Prindle Institute will be developed over the next several years. Bruce Sanders, Coordinator of Cataloguing, is a member of the Faculty Advisory Committee and is working on purchasing material for the Wood library. These will include basic reference works in ethics, publications by current and past Frederick Visiting Professors and other publications sponsored or supported by the Institute. There is a "take-one, leave-one" shelf, as well as copies of recent newspapers and journals; you are welcome to come and browse.
The Institute opened in late fall of 2007, so materials on the Web site are not extensive at this time, and this section of the site should be regarded as a work in progress. If you have suggestions for the resources section or items you would like to contribute, please contact Bruce Sanders, rsanders@depauw.edu.
