Project Title: Ramifications of Nascent Fungicides on Local Aquatic Vertebrates

This project will study how the utilization two fungicides in the environment may affect organisms found inhabiting in aquatic environments native to Indiana. We feel evaluating the effects fungicide exposure on these native species will begin providing information regarding possible environmental consequences of this fungicide usage in Indiana and neighboring states.

Project Title: Perceptions of Sex and Sexual Onset: A Study of Sex Ed Programming in Putnam County, Indiana

This project is an ethnographic, interview based study of perceptions of sexual onset among youth in Putnam County, Indiana. The study examines the perception of Putnam County high school graduates between the ages of 18-22 years of age and their responses to questions about their sexual decision making in comparison to the strategies that are employed in sex education programs in junior and senior high schools. The project will be conducted during the months of June, July and August of 2007 (during the time period when student housing is available) and will consist of in depth interviews conducted by two Sociology/Anthropology majors, Amanda Fenn and Jamie Resseguie.
